You will not be able to install a Power Steering pump on a 1960 VW Beetle. There's not enough room in the very small engine bay, plus being air cooled there's no way to get any kind of hydraulic hoses with a PS pump. As far as an Electronic pump, you're going to run into the same problems, no room!!!!

Where to add power steering fluid in 1999 new beetle?

To add power steering fluid in a 1999 New Beetle, locate the power steering reservoir, which is typically found on the driver’s side of the engine compartment near the front. The reservoir cap is usually marked with a steering wheel icon or labeled "Power Steering." Remove the cap and add the appropriate type of power steering fluid until it reaches the recommended level, then securely replace the cap. Always check for any leaks or issues if the fluid level is low.
