because if they had not discovered it we would not even know about the Aztecs and their whole life would have been a mystery and all we would know about them was that they were just a tribe in Mexico.and we would not know about the daily life and culture and rituals.and because of the temples we would not collaborate on what they had and make it more advanced

What is the intellectual advances for the incas?

The Incas made several intellectual advances, particularly in the fields of agriculture, engineering, and astronomy. They developed advanced agricultural techniques such as terrace farming and irrigation systems, enabling them to grow crops in the challenging Andean terrain. In terms of engineering, they constructed impressive road networks, bridges, and buildings using precise stone masonry techniques. The Incas also possessed knowledge of astronomy and used it to create sophisticated calendars that helped them in agricultural planning and ceremonial events.

Was milgram's study controversial?

Milgram's study was controversial for a number of reasons. It broke many ethical guidelines for methodolgy. These include: Deception - All of the participants in the study were deceived as to the real purpose and measures in place. Right to withdraw - If the participants hesitated, the experimenter did not reaffirm their right to withdraw. He instead used verbal prods to encourage the participants to continue. Participant safety - All the participants felt high levels of stress, and one even suffered convulsions. Even after the debriefing, the participants will have to live with the knowledge they would have killed someone. These have been opposed by the fact that the vast majority of participants said afterwards they were glad to have been involved with the experiment, and none of them experienced any long-term disturbance. It was also controversial for the result. The result suggests that perfectly normal people can do extremely evil things simply from orders. Mandel has suggested that this appears to lessen the responsibility of those involved. For instance, Adolf Eichman, who was involved in the holocaust, said in the Neuremberg trials that he was just following orders. Milgram's study would suggest that many NAZIs could just be normal people, even though they acted in a particularly evil fashion.

Why did most of the settlers of Roanoke Island return to England?

If you mean the 1587 colony - popularly known as "the lost colony" - the settlers did not return to England. Governor John White left Roanoke Island in August of 1587 and returned to England to secure more supplies. The remainder of the settlers stayed on Roanoke Island. When John White came back to the island in 1590 he found no trace of his colony. Their fate is unknown. There are several theories as to what might have happened to them; some may have moved south to live with the friendly natives and some may have tried to sail back to England. There is some evidence to support the theory that some moved north towards the Chesapeake. The two earlier voyages (1584 and 1585) were largely reconnaissance voyages to scout suitable locations for military bastions. Neither of these voyages included women and children. The 1585 members left Roanoke Island with Sir Francis Drake, leaving 15 men there to take care of the fort. Bad leadership, blunders and cruelty towards the natives, and lack of supplies were largely responsible for the failure of this attempt at colonization and when Sir Francis Drake arrived at Roanoke Island the men were only too glad to return to England.
