Could be 2 issues. Assuming the bulbs and sockets check okay, the signals may not work because the fuse or flasher is bad. The hazards could be a weak flasher relay. Then again it could be the signal switch is bad and effecting both functions.
It is the turn switch in the colomn. Replace the switch and the prob will be solved.
I would start with changing the flasher in your fusebox. It's the round looking object in one cornor of the panel.
I have all ready changed the flashers and the fuses what can I do now
Maybe a separate flasher for the hazards
Double check the wiring diagrams for your vehicle but it's probable the flashers and signals use the same relay to function. The wiring for your flashers will go through the hazard switch which is where the malfunction is. If you replace the switch your problem should be solved.
There are two flashers, one for the hazards and one for the signals.
From hazard, you get charizard, so planetary charizards are rouge pokemon roaming the earths atmosphere, i hope this helps with the common "hazard-chardizard" problem
it is either bad signal flasher or bad signal switch assembly try another flasher, swap the hazards one in place of the signals one if the hazards work right now if the hazrds dont work either then it is most likely worn switch assembly(common problem in these cars) i am working on a corsica right now that has no brake lights except the third one and it is the switch assembly worn out in it, flashers are good in it
Fuse or 4 way flasher unit there are 2 flashers on for turns one for 4 ways
If the lights come on but do not flash, replace the flasher relay. If they will not come on check the fuses.
Make sure hazard switch is pulled all the way out May be a problem in thw steering column
My research to date finds that the turn signals and hazard signals are controlled by a common relay. That relay is behind the hazard relay switch. My 2002 Audi A6 has the same symptoms you describe, and I will be removing the hazard switch to get at the relay for replacement. Good luck.
Often, a separate flasher unit is used to activate the hazard flashers. This unit might be bad, or the switch to activate the hazard flashers might be bad. answer always there are 2 flashers.one for turn signals other for hazard replace hazard flasher They have separate fuses also.
i had the same problem. you need to replace the switch behind the hazard light button and that will solve the problem.
Try pushing the hazard light switch on steering column repeatedly. I had a strange problem with my hazards once and this fixed it for now. I think my problem was the signals not working though....
Your problem is most likely the turn signal relay im having a problem similar to yours but when my signals wont work neither do my hazards
you might want to change your hazard light switch. i was having the same problem and i changed my hazard switch and it fixed the problem
Flasher relay bad. This is a separate flasher relay from the one controlling the hazard lights.
1999 Audi a6 quattro, How I fix the problem when the turn signals don't blink, but hazard lights work well?
Well I personally have a 2000 Malibu LS and have had the same troubles random clicking noises when signals aren't on then no signals or random signals. The problem is your hazard relay switch, it is located in your dash board very easy abd cheap fix.
You probably have a bad turn signal flasher (or relay, as it's called in some cars)
