For use on hair:Natural bristle brushes are used to bring out a better shine on hair whereas synthetics do not do this as well. this applies to both humans and animals of all types. You use a hoof pick to clean hooves, not a soft brush. You begin by lifting the horses hoof and picking from back to front. Many hoof picks have small brushes attached to sweep away the debris. Make sure you don't stab the frog or puncture the sole while cleaning the hoof, but make sure you get all the gunk out. Once the hoof is clean, gently set it down and move on to the next one.
