The card used in casinos to cover the bottom card in a deck is called a "cut card." It is typically a solid-colored or opaque plastic card that is inserted into the deck during shuffling to prevent players from seeing the bottom card. The cut card is also used to signal the point at which the dealer should cut the deck for dealing.

Remove plastic cover with T-Mobile Logo from left side of unit to reveal sim card location.
Any cell phone that is unlocked requires a SIM card to work. If you own a Sidekick cell phone that is unlocked you are able to use a carrier other than T-Mobile. For this reason, it will require a SIM card to work.
First, you would need to unlock the Sidekick. And make sure that the SIM card you're using is GSM-based. Now, once the Sidekick is unlocked, then you can use the phone for calling and texting only. You may not be able to use the data on your phone even if you register the phone for a data plan. Sidekick phones have special data plans that only T Mobile can support.
The T-Mobile Sidekick 3 features a number of improvements, including a sleeker design, a 1.3-megapixel camera, an integrated music player, Bluetooth, and EDGE support. It also has a Mini SD card slot, a speakerphone, and world phone support. The T-Mobile Sidekick 3 brings some notable additions, such as Bluetooth and an MP3 player, and continues to be a solid messaging device for the younger crowd; we just wish it had a better screen. Sidekick 3 is a better option.
The Sidekick is a GSM device (one that requires a SIM card) and Verizon uses CDMA (does not use SIM cards at all) and the 2 are not even remotely compatible. In light of this the answer to your question would be no.
i dont think you can... other then put the sim card into the new sidekick....
A simple reset will cure whatever ails your Sidekick. To start, remove the battery and SIM card from your Sidekick. From there, flip the Sidekick open and hold the "R" key, then put the battery back in the Sidekick. Do not, however, insert the SIM card yet. At this point, the Sidekick should restart itself. Make sure not to let go of the "R" key until your Sidekick has restarted completely. Once your Sidekick has fully restarted, remove the battery, then re-insert it--along with the SIM card--and turn on your Sidekick. This should restore all your factory settings.
