There are several problems that can cause a Corolla not to start and the radio or clock not to work. These problems can include a dead battery, faulty ignition switch, or a short in the electrical system. You can use a digital volt meter to test for these problems.

There are two types of clock. One that displays only the clock and the other that displays radio information. Removal and replacement is the same. Use a wide bladed screwdriver or a two inch filler knife to prise out the surround. Start at the passenger side and the bottom. Use something to protect the dashboard. The filler blade will do this with the screwdriver on top of it. Carefully remove it and then remove the two screws holding the clock in the dashboard. The Bulb is accessible from the back. As they say replacement is the reverse of the removal. Part number for dual display clock is XQH100010 I believe the clock in the Freelander is the same but may have a green display.

Typically, a Click-click-click noise when attempting to start a vehicle is the sure sign of either a dead battery or a loose battery connection. Try tightening the battery terminal connections. If this doesn't help, you may need a new battery. A jump start will avoid a towing expense.
add three quarts then start car, then add 4th quart until line is midway between cold and hot .

You had to buy the radio. Hold the radio and click on the dance penguin in the movements below. Once you click, your penuin will start dancing! It's simple but they probably don't sell the radio anymore.
I would start with the fuse panel.
To set the date on a Timex T276B clock radio, start by pressing the "Time/Date" button on the top of the clock. Use the "Hour" and "Minute" buttons to adjust the date. Press the "Time/Date" button again to confirm the date setting.
right click the start menu, click "properties." go to "customize" next to the start menu radio button. click the advanced tab. scroll down to "run command" and check it. AGREED
there is no separate clock battery. the clock has 2 power wires. one to maintain power when the key is off and one to light it when the key is on. if the clock resets to 12:00 or 1:00 every time you start it, try replacing the "dome" fuse in the fuseblock under the hood.
tryright click on the main screen, properties, appearance, somewhere in there.ORGo to start button, installations, it might be in thereORclick to where the clock used to be, reinstall
Try this... In the centre console where the radio and sat nav is (Nowhere near the actual clock) click on: Serv - System - Time - use your up and down arrows and press ok and you see the hands on the clock start to move. I have a CLK and that's how you change mine - it took me about an hour sat in the car pressing everything and I have the manual, it's just not in there!
I don't have your model but if it's an analogue clock you could try this...
