It's a latching push button switch. To operate this type of switch, you press the button, which then latches into place. To switch off, you press the button again, which returns to its home position. Just like the power switch on your TV or HI FI.
You need to adjust your brake light switch. It should be located on the brake pedal. Unplug the switch and loosen the nuts to adjust the button closer to the brake pedal.
You are probably referring to the inertia switch. In the event of an impact there is a switch that will disable the fuel pump on most Ford vehicles. Often times this switch is triggered by accident even if the vehicle was not in a collision. It is usually located under the right kick panel on the passenger side. There is a button that pops up on the top when the switch is triggered. To reset you simply press the button back down. See your owner's manual for details.
when you start the car up that's your ignition switch is located...
Does not have one.
You can find the starter relay switch in your 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse in the fuse box. The starter relay switch will be in the third column, at the top.

Hold the temp button down until the degree sign flashes then push the temp. button again to switch from Fahrenheit to Celsius.
The 2000 Eclipse GS does not come equipped with this feature. I own a 2000 Eclipse GS and i had my car involved in an accident. It wouldn't start and i thought about this switch but wasn't sure so i called Mitsubishi Motors and they assured me that it isn't equipped. Turns out my Eclipse had an electrical short circuit in the accident and that's why it wouldn't start. Hope i helped.
bad switch off the steering column.
