Can your mix latex paint with its own tinted primer together and apply as one coat?

It will work over another latex paint, however it won't be as scrubable as a normal top coat, and it won't adhere as well as a paint over a primer. Better to apply the primer, then the paint. If the surface is clean and deglossed though, you really don't need a primer and can coat the surface with a quality wall paint.

Will the paint and primer together paint over masonite paneling?

I find your meaning a bit difficult to understand. -You don't paint and prime together. -The primer must be applied first and become totally dry before painting is carried out. If you're concerned about covering ability, use a good thick primer like Kilz. It will completely hide anything. If the masonite is pre-primed, then a paint and primer in one will work fine. If it is bare, then you need to treat it like wood and either give it two coats of the paint and primer in one, or better, give it a coat of primer, then paint.

Behr paint with primer on cabinets?

Behr paint covers very well, but for only ten dollars more a gallon, you can get Behr's paint and primer in one. If you are covering a dark color, white, painting fresh drywall, wood, or any situation that requires primer, you can save a lot of time and money by using Behr's paint and primer in one. Behr paint can be mixed in a wide variety of colors, so you can get the exact color you want, with Behr's leading paint technology that gets a clear, rich color every time.

How do you Paint Particleboard Furniture?

Often, particleboard furniture is covered with a vinyl sheet that requires a primer prior to accepting paint. A good 100% acrylic primer or a quality stain-block primer (not Kilz) will work best. PPG paints makes a very good paint, called Break-Through that will work for a one coat solution, however, it is only available in gallons.

Can teaspoon be used as a primer to paint over lime wash?

No, it isn't a primer or any use as one.

Do paints come with primer in them?

No, you buy the primer separate and paint with it first, let it dry then get the paint and paint over the primer. There are several paint applications where the paint can be used as a primer, and this is called a self-priming paint. In addition, many paints are marketed as a paint and primer in one, however, that refers to its ability to adhere well to a surface and to cover the previous coat. In more difficult priming situations, like staining or painting with a very dark color over a light color, it's recommended to use a dedicated primer followed by a top coat.

What is the function of a primer in a complete paint treatment?

You make sure your surface is clean and dry then roll the primer on. I prefer to use a heavy body primer like Kilz then I don't have to re-coat. One coat of a good primer does it all. Paying a little extra for a good primer can save you lots in the final paint.
