When regulations get passed in certain areas, and not all states or counties have regulations governing tattooing or piercings, usually they have a regulation where body art operators must be certified, altho this may not account for a lot....Fer instance here in L.A., er, Lower Alabama that is, I could send anybody who didn't know diddly about body art to the board of health to get them certified....Now to be honest, this year they finally required that any person who applies for a body operator permit to have a proof of having taken a blood bourne pathegens course....Which costs 25 bucks and an hour of your time in a red cross office.....BUT, I did the APT course {Association of Professional Tattooists} which costs 175 bucks and takes 12 hours.....So. you should not start this industry without proper training you can either go to a shop and asked to be trained or enrolling in a piercing/ tattooing school . to get a license if you dont go through a school is to contact the board of health in your town and ask about it they usually know what to do . if any artist finds out you dont have training and youre putting out bad tattoos on people they will break your hands so be smart about this it is not a joke you are putting needles in people's skin I've had four years training and I wasnt allowed to pick up a needle for the first year

If you didnt react too badly to the tattoos, the lip piercing shouldn't bother you too much. Most people say it feels like a pinch. Keep in mind, the worst part of any piercing is not actually the piercing itself, its the healing. Your lip will swell, it will be red, and it will be tender and uncomfortable. If you can handle that, then you should be ok.
