The alternator drive belt ( often called the fan belt) is not tight enough because it is worn or stretched or incorrectly adjusted . This makes it slip on the pulleys . It happens when there is a heavy load on the belt, such as when the alternator is trying to recharge the battery after starting the engine , or when the Power Steering pump is working hard as you turn the steering wheel with the car moving slowly. This fault is more common on diesel vehicles since the heavy duty batteries place a greater load on the alternator.
Check the battery. Sometimes the battery has a partial charge but does not have enough electricity to make the engine turn over. See if all the cells have water. Then use jumper cables.
If it won't turn at all you may have caused a problem. Check to see if you can turn the engine by hand. Does the starter click and the engine start to move? I guess I don't understand what you mean when you say it is not cranking. If you want to pursue this problem any further, contact me at: a_d_kirkwood@excite.com
Ask the person that you want it from if they dont give it to you then you just dont get it
Ha ha, i know this one backward and forward, It happened to my car. First off, check your oil, if there isn't any, then it probably seized due to lack of lubrication. Second, if you have a manual transmission, get it towed, and pop it into first gear, if the wheels lock up, its seized. If you don't have a manual, then if you can find it, find the crankshaft nut on the side of the engine with the belt. Find a breaker bar with the correct size socket, and try to turn it as much as you can. If it doesn't turn its most likely seized.
If you want to make sure it is seized. Remove the spark plugs. Take off the starter and try to pry engine to move, with out damaging the teeth of the fly wheel, with a lever. or take off timing chain cover and try to turn engine manually. If you can't budge at all, then your engine is seized. When you run an engine long enough with no oil and then stop engine. Piston's actually weld (seize) to cylinder wall. REPLACE ENGINE...
I dont want to answer it i want to get the answer from someone
you either dont have enough charge in your battery to turn the motor over, or your starter is bad. might also want to check your starter relay to see if it works.
i think its because the person whos bitter is upset, they dont want it to be over and they dont wanna let go
no but if you dont want to transform dont
Not sure what you mean. Typically you turn and hold the ignition key over to engage the starter to crank the engine over. When the engine starts and runs you let go of the key and the engine continues to run. At which point here does the engine have a problem?
yes but she dont want to kamehameha
Just that...They dont want to come over so dont ask again
The problem is that when you hit the accelerator, fuel is injected into the engine causing it to revolve at a higher speed. This in turn causes the trasmission to turn, causing the wheels to turn, thus the vhicle moves. If you dont want it to move, either turn the vehicle off or dont hit the accelerator. If this is an honest question, we need more info than that.
"TURNING OVER AN ENGINE" REFERS TO ROTATING THE CRANKSHAFT, USUALLY BY MEANS OF THE STARTER MOTOR AND THE RING GEAR, IF IT WAS AN OLDER ENGINE YOU COULD USE THE CRANK HANDLE THOUGH THESE WENT OUT OF FASHION DUE TO HIGHER CRANKING SPEED BEING REQUIRED TO START AN ENGINE. PUSHING THE VEHICLE (IF IT WAS MANUAL) WHILE IN GEAR WOULD ALSO TURN THE ENGINE OVER BUT MAKE SURE THE IGNITION WAS SWITCHED OFF UNLESS YOU WANT IT TO START.
a hang over is when you get massive headaches and you dont want to move.
if a boy you liked for years doesnt like you how do you get over him when your in a problem that you dont want anyone but him?
When you have a word, sentence, or paragraph you don't want, you can:backspacehighlight it all and click delete or Enter (easiest to do)Turn on Insert and type over the old text (most confusing to do)
Umm I don't think you want your car to turn over. Ever.
