If you are on the waiting list, ACTIVE means you are actively on the waiting list, and your position is the number indicated.
We are unable to provide telephone numbers. Check with the local housing authority in any jurisdiction in which you are seeking an open waiting list status.
This is not an appropriate question on Answers.com I don't think too many people want to publicly state that they are on the section 8 or that they were on the waiting list for such. If you want to ask questions about being on the section 8 waiting list, go ahead and ask that question. For your information, however, someone's name can come up instantly on a waiting list or can take over 15 years, depending on several variables including, but not limiting to whether the person is disabled, elderly, a veteran, a family with multiple children, or the victims of domestic violence.
I would like to know what my number is on the section 8 waiting list?
