I would stretch 2 canvases separately and then attach them back-to-back, then maybe trim the edges for a finished look. If you need it thinner stretch onto both sides of stretcher bars and trim the second canvas to not overlap the front of the other side, then again, trim for a finished look - maybe hot glue a nice ribbon that matches your decor?

Yes, it's recommended to paint both sides of wood siding to ensure maximum protection against moisture and prevent warping or rotting. Painting the back side helps seal the wood and reduces the risk of damage from the elements. Additionally, it can help maintain a uniform appearance and prolong the lifespan of the siding. However, ensure that the paint used allows for breathability to avoid trapping moisture.
HOW TO OIL PAINT ON CALICO FABRICCalico makes a wonderful surface on which to paint as it has a nice tooth and a beautiful surface quality yet is not as coarse as canvas or duck fabric. I recommend wrapping your calico around hardboard or masonite cut to your dimensions and notstretching it over a wooden stretcher (as you would with canvas) as generally the calico is not strong enough and you risk tearing. Here's what to do:1.) Cut a piece of calico fabric approximately 2-inches larger all the way around than your hardboard or masonite.2.) Coat your calico with gesso or latex paint, place your hardboard on the coated calico, and wrap your edges to the back of the board. Your gesso or latex will "glue" the calico to your board.3.) On front and working from center outwards, use your hands or a damp sponge to press out any air bubbles from under the surface of the calico.4.) Over 3 days, apply 3 coats of gesso or latex, and allow 24 hours drying time between coats. Coat both sides of your board or else your board will warp. When perfectly dry, your calico is ready to paint on.

A good way to stretch your neck is to hang your arms at your sides, slowly turn your head to the side until you feel a mild stretch and hold for 5 seconds, then repeat with the other side. You can also stretch the sides of your neck by tilting your head to each side (tilting your ear toward your shoulder), again with your arms relaxed at your sides, and hold for 5 seconds each side.
