If your EGR valve is vacuum operated, simply remove the vacuum hose from the valve.
Right on top of the valve cover
no a egr valve would not make a dead battery. a bad alternator or maybe a bad connection post to battery would make it die ,
Assuming you mean the egr valve, I would make sure that you have the check engine codes cleared. In addition, are you sure that it was truly the egr valve, and not the DPFE sensor monitoring the valve?
Erg and esker are landforms. An erg is a flat sandy area of the desert with no vegetation. An esker is a ridge of sand and gravel that is long and winding.
egr is located near intake air horn follow metal tube from left exhaust manifold up to egr valve Unless you definitely know the valve is bad and needs to be replaced, check to be sure the 2 ports in the throttle body elbow are clean. To do this, you will need to remove the intake elbow on top of the engine. Usually they will be plugged with carbon. This yielded a P0401 code for my truck. Here's how to check it: http://www.fordf150.net/howto/throttlebodyclean.php. I'm not affiliated in any way with this site, but if you have an F150, you'll find it extremely valuable.
Where is the ERG valve located on a Chevy Vandura 5.7 350 engine?
An ERG is a unit of work. An EGR is a valve that usually sits on the manifold and is controlled by a vacuum diaphram.
The ERG valve on a 1999 Chevy Express van is near the carburetor. It is bolted on the intake manifold.
Right on top of the valve cover
I changed erg valve o2 sensor and gas cap but lights back on what do I do
"EGR" valve?
If you mean the EGR (exhaust Gas Reclaimer), no.
do you mean the EGR valve? it's at the base of the intake manifold
It is on the back of the intake manifold.
The ERG valve is located on the front of the engine on a 1998 Chevy Blazer V6 4.3L. It is near the top bolted to the intake manifold.
on a '95 camaro the EGR valve should be next to the radiator hose
under the hood by the transmission
