hey.. the only way to check a coil of any kind is with an ohm meter,,,if it's bad it will show nothing or infinity... if it is good it should have at least 8 dependant upon the resistance but could be higher... i can't remember if too high means corosion or not but i know you can get the numbers from the manufacturer
Your ignition is probably fine what you need to check is the starter solenoid, more than likely that is what has gone bad. To find it follow the positive cable from the battery and it should lead you to it. If you turn your ke to the on position and touch both terminals on the solenoid with a screwdriver the motorcycle will turn over.
first check to see if your distributor is getting power to it and if it is check to see if the stator inside your distributor is sending a signal to the ignition module, just hook up a test light between the stator going to the ignition module to ground
first i would check your coil, if its good, check your ignition switch.
start with checking the battery, next check the solenoid, next check the starter motor.then check ignition switch
It may be possessed by a demon! OR... Does it have a remote car starter installed? It may be faulty. The ignition switch may be bad. The key goes into the ignition lock. There is usually a rod that goes down to the electrical switch on the steering column. check the electrical switch.
Check the MOM
Stand the bike upright and examine the coolant gauge.
The 1500 Kawasaki Vulcan typically requires about 3.5 quarts of oil when performing an oil change with a new oil filter. If you're just changing the oil without replacing the filter, it usually takes around 3 quarts. Always check the owner’s manual for the most accurate specifications and recommendations for your specific model.
I'm pretty sure it does. I own a 1995 Vulcan and I bought a 2003 tank and looked at the mounting brackets and fuel connections all looked to be the same - but don't put this in stone. I haven't been able to put it on yet because it's still out being painted. There should be no difference in the fuel tank mounts from 1996-1005, but as always, check with a professional if this information is critical.
For shorter men a motorcycle that would be ideal is the Ducati Monster. Other motorcycles to check out for shorter people are Kawasaki Ninja 250OR and the Suzuki GSX R600.
To test the ignition coil of a Kawasaki Rouser 135, you can use a multimeter to check the resistance between the primary and secondary windings. Compare the reading to the manufacturer's specifications to determine if the ignition coil is functioning correctly. You can also visually inspect the coil for any physical damage like cracks or corrosion.
Short the two battery leads together, this will bypass the solenoid and should turn the starter. But this does not answer the question....it just lets you see if the starter works. How do you CHECK the solenoid to see if it is GOOD or BAD???
The spark plug gap for a 1985 Kawasaki 750 Vulcan is typically set to 0.028 to 0.032 inches (0.7 to 0.8 mm). It's important to check the owner's manual or service manual for specific recommendations and ensure proper gap adjustment before installation. Using the correct gap helps optimize engine performance and fuel efficiency.
To install a speedometer cable on a 1995 Kawasaki Concours, first, ensure the motorcycle is on a stable surface and the ignition is off. Remove the old cable by disconnecting it from the speedometer and the transmission. Then, route the new cable through the same path, securing it in place, and connect one end to the speedometer and the other to the transmission. Finally, check for proper operation by spinning the front wheel and observing the speedometer response.
To check the coolant on a Kawasaki Vulcan 1500, locate the coolant reservoir, which is typically found on the right side of the bike near the engine. Make sure the engine is cool, then inspect the level in the reservoir; it should be between the minimum and maximum marks. If the level is low, you can add the appropriate coolant mixture as specified in the owner's manual. Always ensure to check for any leaks or signs of coolant degradation.
Check oil level Maybe predetonation try using a higher octane fuel (mfg.calls for 89 Octane) Hydraulic lifters not adjustable
