Get a syphon hose
It's attached to the starter.
The best place to find a schematic for the steering column is in a FACTORY SHOP MANUAL available from AUTOBOOKSONLINE.COM or MOTORLIT.COM.
GO BUY A NEW IGNITION SWITCH AND KEY SET TO INSTALL IN THE COLUMN. It's not that simple smart#@$! If anyone can answer the question intelligently I would appreciate it.
Sounds like your Wiper Motor may be going bad or you have a loose connection. I had that problem with my '91 APV. If I manually pulled on them they would start working but would eventually lock up again. They would also stop working when it was raining. It turned out to be a bad electrical connection in the wiper motor. If you wiggle the wires going into the wiper motor ( WATCH OUT FOR THE MOVING LINKAGE! ) you may find that that is the problem. Replace the motor and it should work.
My 94 Lumina APV (3.8L) would not start (when warm) - cranked but acted as if no spark or fuel. Mechanic replaced computer @ $350 (said too many error codes to diagnose problem) - did not resolve problem. Then he replaced the camshaft position sensor (CMP) @ $125 - that solved the problem. PB
in the gas tank
I have a "94" apv. The fuel pump is in the fuel tank and is one of the simpler ones to replace, and reasonably cheep at $60.
Chevrolet Lumina APV was created in 1989.
The reason why your guage stope at the 3/4 mark, is that your sending unit in the gas tank is faulty. A new one from the dealer costs about 300 bucks. The book rates the tank capacity of a 1993 Chevy lumina apv with a 3.8 liter engine to be 20 gallons. 8.6 litres according to the manual. i too own one
Should be in the fuel line, near fuel pump check it
Yes.
the fuel pressure regulator is located behind the drive belt close to the top
It does not have a carburetor.
Check pressure At idle 13-20 psi With ignition on and not running 23-31 psi
The power window fuse for a 1994 Lumina APV is located on the passenger side. It is in the fuse box behind the glove box.
under the engine
Check the fuel filter. If it is the original, change it. If that doesn't help, find a mechanic.
