if you want to evolve eevee into umbreon i suggest give the item "soothe bell" to eevee then level him/her up untill he/she evolves its just like golbat he needs max happiness to evolve all you need for golbat is a soothe bell and training same for eevee!!!!

There's a lot of way to increase happiness but the 3 way listed here is the easiest ways :
1. Give your Pokemon a soothe bell.
2. Give your eevee lots of calcium, protein, iron, etc. and then train it for a level up and it'll evolve.
3. You can just train your eevee more often, or you can use potion on your eevee when it has low HP or maybe parlyz heal, antidote, full heal,... when your eevee has status problem.

∙ 12y agoget it to maximum happiness at nighttime then level it up. (you can also check its happiness at a house on the right side. there's a woman that will comment on ur Pokemon when u talk to her. some ways to improve happiness is walk a lot with ur eevee, give it those nutrition things, give it hair cuts, and lvl it up. remember don't let it faint!)

You can go to the foot step guy out side of pastoria city and he will tell you what your eevee thinks of you or you can check the friendship app. so once you'ev done these things your eevee should have two small hearts at least. then you need to level up your eevee to level 21 at night witch is between 8pm and 4am then you should have umbreon! espeon o the same like with umbreon but level eevee up between 4am and 8pm. You don't need a stone in order to get an Umbreon in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver but what you do need in order to get an Umbreon in HeartGold and SoulSilver is an Eeevee and then you have to level it up until it has a high amount of happiness and then evolve it at night which is any time between 8 PM and 4 AM in-game. 0----->> You don't actually have to lvl up a Pokemon to get happiness you can just walk with it in your party or put a sooth bell on it and walk with it in your party . A haircut Is nice also upping its stats with stat potions. If you can get it happy with you with out lvling you can have a Umbreon @ lvl2 and since it starts getting Umbreon attacks (instead of Eevee attack) at lvl 15 you want that critter happy with you BEFORE then. What I would do is get Eevee and then breed it with Ditto and get several lvl1 Eevees and then make them happy with you for Espeon and Umbreon and just use stones on the rest for the other Eevelutions, not sure thought how to get the new ones from DPP though haven't researched that yet. Probably just trade.
