My 1999 Regal had the same problem. The problem is a switch in the gear shift mechanism in the console. It intermitantly is working. The dealer wanted to replace the complete shift mechanism in the console for $381. That was to expensive for me so I took the console apart to get to the shifter and disconected the wiring plug on the front of it and using a tester determined which wire was hot and which one went to the steering column to release the key. I then spliced in a small rocker switch to bypass the one in the shifter and mounted it in the console next to the traction control button. Simply flip the switch to on before you turn the car off, remove the key and then flip the switch back to off. The cost was about $7 plus sweat.
Remove the spark plug wire from your 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis. Remove the spark plug with a 5/8 deep well socket, white turning it to the left. Reverse the process to put in the new spark plug.
Open the larger of the covers on the top of the Wii. Then you plug the controller into the first port. When you are at the title screen for the game, you press the A button on the GameCube controller to play using it.

Hi!!, if you put the console horizontal there is a large flip on the left side of the power button where you can plug 4 different gamecube controllers, just open the flip, plug it in and power up. Hope this can be useful, it took me a while, even returned the first mat I bought.
Chances are it is a burnt out light bulb. You thene have to pull out the console wwhere the speedometer is. it is hard to do but if you unplug the cicular plug and cable running to speedometer and the cable to the oil meter, you have more play. In the middle you will see three plugs in a row. push and then replace light bulbs. Or your hazard button has come unplugged. You then have to unscrew the middle console so you can get to the plug. But make sure you have console back in place before plugging.
If the controller is wired it can be plugged into one of the two usb ports on the front of the console or the one usb port on the back. If the controller is wireless then you must press the small button on top of the controller and the small button on the front of the console to sync them.
To use a plug-and-play console on your computer, simply connect the console to an available USB port. The operating system should automatically recognize the device and install any necessary drivers. Once the console is connected, you can start using it with compatible games or applications without needing additional software. If needed, adjust settings in your computer's control panel or game settings for optimal performance.
Check the kill switch on the left handle bar.. just to the left of the starter button.
My diagnostic plug is under the steering wheel console on the side closer to the center console.
What you should do is unplug the entire console, wait a few minutes and then plug it back in. If, for some reason, it freezes again, turn off your console. Then, turn it back on and wait for it to go to the home menu. Once the home menu has completely loaded, hit the reset button on the front of the console, or use the wii mote and click the home menu button and hit restart from there.
You're kidding, right? Plug it in, the "Power/Reset" (I/O) button should have a red light, press that button. There's only two button on the whole console, it isn't too hard to figure out. Also.....To turn it off, press and hold the "Power/Reset" button. Sheesh.
