To show polygonal data with a series of points in Google Earth you need to convert the series of points for each Polygon into a Polygon geometry in a KML file.

Here's a simple polygon defined as a series of longitude-latitude pairs:

-122.431939,37.801984

-122.431564,37.802033

-122.431499,37.801715

-122.431872,37.801663

-122.431939,37.801984

How can you give updated information to Google Earth?

Google providers a data error reporting form (via website) to submit corrections to google's imagery, street names, directions, and so forth. By far the easiest way to provide updated information is through the new Google Map Maker tool. This allows you to directly move addresses to the correct location, change type of marker, etc. Submissions get reviewed and if approved get pushed back out to Google Earth and Google Maps.

How do you integrate descriptive data such as text hyperlinks and tables with polygons' balloons in Google Earth?

The pop-up description balloon for polygons for any other feature represented in KML uses the tag for that feature within the KML file that is loaded in Google Earth. The description itself can be a simple text or a fully formatted HTML document with CSS, javaScript, tables, inline imagery, video, and other multimedia, etc. Here's a KML example with hyperlink and inline image in the description:This is an imageand we have a link.]]>...Note, if you include raw HTML tags in the description you must enclose the HTML inside a CDATA block as shown in this example. If you paste HTML directly into the description of a feature in Google Earth then it will add that for you.You can find more details in the KML Reference below:

Saved places are stored in a local file named myplaces.kml. This file is stored in a different location than the Google Earth application data so uninstalling or reinstalling Google Earth has no effect on the saved places.Reinstalling Google Earth will use the previous saved places data if available otherwise it will create the initial saved places if none existed before.

How is data mapped in Google Earth?

Google takes imagery is taken from a variety of sources (satellite, aerial, air balloon, etc.) and processed them into the format and coordinate system of Google Earth's databases. Sometimes this requires reprojecting and transforming the data into a compatible representation. Data then goes through a quality control process and fed into a processing system before it gets distributed to the live Google Earth database servers. Google Maps shares the same underlying imagery and maps database so it only has to be done once. More details on how Google Earth imagery works can be found in related links. Data such as places or placemarks (landmarks, hotels, churches, etc.) get mapped onto the Google Earth base imagery with a latitude/longitude coordinate and altitude of its location.

When will Google earth 6 be more current?

Google Earth 6 is the most current version of Google Earth. As for the satellite imagery and layers hosted by Google, the same data appears on Google Earth 5 and Google Earth 6 alike. In fact, Google Maps for the most part shows the same satellite imagery as that in Google Earth but sometimes the imagery updates for one is slightly ahead of the other. The frequency of imagery updates is answered in a related question. See related questions for details.
