You buy a set of rollers and tray, a package of 3 refills and a use a broom handle or a 4 ft paint handle on your roller. Fill the roller by moving it back and forward in the tray. Apply it midway up the wall and roll straight up, without taking it off the wall, roll back down at a slight angle, so the left edge of the roller is where the right edge was in the middle, but now straighten and roll to the bottom. Don't press too hard, and don't try to use every drop in the roller. Refill and repeat the same on the next portion of wall, coming back each time now to cover empty parts. Get a smooth coat all over the wall, without putting too much on. Don't try to get a perfect coat in the first rolling. Re-do the entire room 3-4 hours later.

∙ 12y agoWith a mohair roller, especially with high-gloss paint. Sponge rollers can make little bubbles (that make a slightly irregular surface)
