It should be on the top side of the collumn and held on with 2 screws. Approx. 1 inch square and 4 inches long.
I have a 1984 econoline 350 The switch is located on the passenger side fender wall, under the dash, inside the cab. My is a black box about the size of half pack of smokes, with a white button on top. Now what is it for? Laura

I did have the same problem but found that after inserting the key into ignition I deed to wait +/- 3 seconds and I can hear the start relay (on the relay pannel) click in. If I do not hear this relay click in the car just does not start (No spark from the electronic coil to the distributor).
Check ALL of the fuses and connections on the fuse pannel.
You need to go to a car parts store, and get a repair manual for your car. They cost about $16.00 Or, go to a Public Library. Blower motor assembly consists of the motor and impeller. their is a fuse box on the left kick pannel, and right kick pannel and center consel, my bet is left pannel for brake
I'm fairly sure it is one of the modules pluged into the seconday fuse pannel (located by the feet of the passanger behined the Black pannel).

The fuse diagram is on the back of the fuse compartment cover that you remove to see the fuses, this goes for the one under the driver side located by the steering coloumn and the major breaker pannel located to the left of the master cylinder under the hood.
I'm not sure, but on the '84 it is on the passenger side hidden behind a pannel below the dash. I'm not sure what the pannel is called, I think it is a kick pannel. It would be next to the passengers right foot. try looking there.

Relay is located under the bonnet in a fuse box at the scuttle pannel.
They would be in the fuse pannel located on the left side of the dash. The drivers door needs to be open and the fuse pannel cover removed to access the fuse pannel. The diagram on the inside of the cover will show you which fuse does what.
Should be located under the drivers side dash panel just to the left of the steering column
the PCM is located under the upper dash pannel. the dash pannel is held in by two center 7mm bolts. pry the cover off gently to remove. the PCM is mounted in a bracket just under the protective foam.
