As with any repairs or work done on your bike, always check your manual to make sure. Specific instructions may vary depending on the year of your bike. Find the accompanying slot on the motorcycle. You'll have to maneuver that tab into the slot to properly replace the seat on the bike. You'll know it's set correctly when you cannot lift the rear of the seat off the bike. After it's in place, replace both hex bolts and tighten snugly.
