It is stamped on it. Look at it real close.

As far as bolting on, then yes. However, alternators come in different sizes. Internally, I mean. Amperage wise. If both vehicles have an equaly amount of electrical amenities, then they are probably close. NEW ANSWER: Sorry to be the 1 to say it. But the 85 will not bolt up to the 94 mounting bracket. From 1988----1995 alternators will interchange. And like Bigstrapper said, check the amperage there all different.
do you mean the aluminum bracket holding the alternator broke at the bolt holes? do you know that there should be a steel bracket BEHIND the alternator also? when engine usually replaced, sometimes this steel bracket is not replaced and instead a shorter bolt is used to fasten alternator (3 bolts) to aluminum bracket. there should be a longer bolt which goes from the front of the alternator on the left side, thru the alternator and thru that steel bracket and into part of engine?? this part not clearly understood as explained to me by mechanic husband. he had the same problem and corrected when bracket kit purchased from local Chevy dealer; about $197 in Hawaii. hope this bit helps...
ALTINATOR OR STARTER. JUMP START CAR, TAKE POSITIVE CABLE OFF BATTERY,IF CAR DIES IT IS ALTERNATOR. GOOD LUCK
Absoutely, tho it's probably built into the alternator. Ask your local auto parts supplier if a replacement regulator is available. Of course you have to disassemble the alternator and install the regulator if it in inside your alternator. lol It's inside the alternator. Either replace the alternator or get a diagram of the alternator and rebuild it.
