I'm not sure how much one camera varies to another for this, but with mine I just plug the cable into the camera and my laptop, then it gives me the option to upload all of the photos or just selected ones.
It should give you step-by-step instructions, so don't be afraid to plug it in and try. Then if you still aren't sure, just unplug the cable from the camera and the computer, and you won't have done any damage. But it really shouldn't give you any problems.

Hi there, I believe you can do this! All you need to do is connect your camera through the USB 2.0 cable which should be supplied by your camera manufacturer. You will need to make sure you open it as a removable disk. Then you need to drag your photos into the DCIM folder which is on your camera memory. Then simply remove your camera from the device and it should work!

You can't upload it from a memory card. You could try plugging USB cable in the port in the back of the WII and upload from computer while having a memory stick converter.
