it does not work jam eti
theres a pressure switch just above brake pedal under the dash probably bad
Probably have a defective power brake booster or the vacuum supply to the booster is restricted or leaking.
May be stop light switch--usually located at the upper end of the brake pedal under dash
Have an electrician check the wiring that goes to the brake lights in the trunk of the car.
There is what is called a brake sensor. This sensor has to engage to sent a signal to the transmission to release the pawl so that you can shift it. Replace the brake pedal sensor. It is usually on the top of the pedal arm upward under the dash. This will also cause the brake lights not to work. Good luck.
Did you check the switch on the brake pedal assembly?
Usually that would be caused by a faulty brake light switch connected TO the brake pedal. If the brakes work the pedal is probably ok.
The brake light switch is located on the brake pedal assembly, but it is called a brake pedal position sensor and is sold with the pedal assembly from the dealer. If you are having problems with your brake lights not coming on or coming on when you are not pressing the pedal try this: If you take the fuse cover off on the passenger side center console you will see the body control module. Take the very top plug off. The plug will be horizontal at the top and has a release hasp on it. Then put dielectric grease in the plug. Plug it back in and it should make the brake light work properly.

brake light switch is above the brake pedal under the dash
Please check the Brake light switch....The brake light switch should be located near or on the brake pedal (up on the stem of the brake pedal)
a brake booster supplies power to the brake system. this takes the hard out of the brake pedal allowing brakes to work harder with less effort or pressure on pedal from the driver
Check the brake light switch on the brake pedal
When you step on the brake pedal, you close a switch at the top of the arm that holds the pedal. That puts power to the brake lights
Make sure to press the brake before you take a break.
Its the brake switch on the brake pedal. Its a plunger like switch, its usually the only thing on the brake pedal. Its pretty easy and cheap to change.
