Between $1.25 and $1.50 per sq foot. It depends on a few things. Are supplier included (paint, materials), is it a repaint in a furnished home (lost of furniture to move, must be extremely neat) is it a repaint in an empty house (for a house flipper- are floors getting replaced), or is it new construction(lots of caulking, nail hole filling, and priming). Sometimes, like with no materials included and an empty house, it can be as low as .40, other times near 2.00. Like most things in life "it depends"....
Before any interior painting
you need to find details that will describe the painting
How Should i know what his first painting was?!
5 cents per square foot...unless you want to make money. If you want to make money, you should work for time and materials. And don't waste either while getting the job done or it'll be the last thing you paint.
The first step in painting a face white is to use a primer on the wood. Painting the fence will require several coats which should be applied evenly to ensure a good finish.
The wallpaper in my house is rather outdated. If I contact some interior painters, what's a fair price for painting an average-sized living room, and what colors should I ask for?
at lest a few hundred dollars
Before any interior painting
An interior painting contractor should take no more than one full day of work, or eight hours, to paint two medium sized bedrooms, unless the walls were in need of repair beforehand.
Yes, of course! That is what they are there for, most likely why you hire them. They should know all about painting, and be willing and happy to lend a hand.
I own a house painting company in N.Y state. Yes, a legitimate painting contractor is suppose to charge NYS Sales Tax on labor and materials that pertain to any interior or exterior painting. If the painter is working for a non profit organization, the organization must show a tax exempt certificate to the contractor and then there would be no sales tax. If the project is a capital improvement which would primarily be the painting of new construction then the property owner is responsible to provide the painting contractor with the proper documents and tax will not be charged. NYS requires a painting company to charge sales and use tax on all labor and material that are involved in the painting/coating/staining of pre-existing surfaces. There are many painters in NYS that are working illegally and dont charge sales tax. Illegal painting company's should not be hired, if they are not paying sales tax they are probably not licensed and probably have no insurance. -Thomas Kellogg Kellogg's Painting Company www.kelloggspainting.com Painting homes and business in the Hudson Valley and Catskills, New York areas.
I would charge 15 dollars for a low quality but for high quality I would pay from 25 dollars to 50 dollars
This depends largely on the state that you live in. You should go online to careerbuilders.com They have a statistical national rate you can access.
The estimated cost to paint the room would consider several factors in addition to the square footage of the room. The condition of the walls, required prep, how much trim work (windows, doors, woodwork) and the height of the walls will determine the cost. Most contractors are happy to give free estimates.
Don't know what vehicle you have but most interior door handles can be changed in under 15 minutes. So, the labor charge should be 1/4 hour.
It depends on the type of paint, the region and the complexity of the job. Usually labor is two to three times the cost of material.
you should write...Bureau of the Department of the Interior.
