The Boston tea party was over the taxing of the tea and other taxing. colonists dressed up as Mohawk Indians and dumped 342 chests of tea over and into the harbor. After they had did so other people came in tat night and beat up the rest of the tea for good. the tea was only given to specific sellers that sent other places out of business.
