Probably less than when you got it new!The scar tissue is dead tissue, meaning the nerve endings are no so sensitive as they were when you first did your piercing.

Can you take out a lip piercing after 1 week to clean it?

Why? You never remove the jewellery in a fresh piercing to clean it, you clean the piercing and jewellery in place while in the shower, that should be more than enough. You can do damage to the new tissue trying to form by removing the jewellery, your written aftercare instructions should out line how to care for your new piercing.

Tongue piercing use?

Tongue + Barbell = Tongue Piercing Tongue piercing: a piercing in the center of the tongue located approximately 3/4" from the tip of the tongue through the connective tissue joining the two muscle groups that form the tongue. Used as a means of self expression or a personal statement, some times used to enhance sexual pleasure for either gender.

Can you re-peirce a belly button?

Of course, just like it's possible to repierce your ears It is possible to have any piercing re-pierced, it does seem as though the piercing is more prone to rejection after the scar tissue has formed well. However, there are several piercers working with a new technique of placing surface piercings under or behind scars to try and anchor them. I don't know what the success rate is, but it does seem like it's a concievable concept. If you have them go slightly deeper I think your chances of being able to heal it will be much better or if they can, go completely behind the scar from the first time you had it pierced.

Can you get your belly button repierced if you have scar tissue?

Go ask your piercer about it. Some piercers do and others don't. A lot of those that do use a larger gauge needle to removed the scar tissue at the same time that they pierce your navel. I heard that piercing scar tissue hurts more so be prepared :3

Will a piercing scar if you have only had it three months?

As long as there is jewellery in the piercing the piercing will not scar, it will form new tissue that makes up the piercing. If the jewellery is removed before the piercing is allowed to heal completely this tissue will join together and form scar tissue.

Can you get your belly button repierced in the same hole?

Yes, most piercers will. Others will require that you get it done at a larger gauge to remove the scar tissue. Keep in mind that generally it is more painful to get pierced through scar tissue.

Do it hurt getting your nose repierced?

Getting a piercing done for a second time always hurts more, because the new scar tissue that was used to heal it closed is harder therefor it'll hurt more.

Will an ear piercing get infected if you open it up after 35 years?

If by reopening it you mean re-piercing it, then yes, theres a chance that it'll get infected. If the piercing is healed over, go get it professionally repierced. Scar tissue can be a little tough to pierce through. Repiercing it yourself with non-sterile jewelry greatly increases the risk of infection. If it hasnt healed over, its fine because scar tissue has formed and you arent creating a new wound.

What should one know about getting a lower lip piercing repierced?

There's not much to know really, it's pretty much the same as the first time, just make sure if you're re-piercing the same spot that the old piercing is completely healed first, and be prepared for slighty more pain than the first time as piercing through scar-tissue can cause more discomfort.

How long should you wait to get a belly button repierced?

You need to wait until it is fully healed. This may take up to 3 months. There will be scar tissue so it will hurt more the next time.

How do you help a migrating belly button piercing?

Take the jewellery out of the piercing and call it a day. The piercing will continue to migrate and will eventually drop the piercing altogether. Removing the jewellery now will allow your body to maintain the tissue and prevent the formation of scar tissue. After a few weeks you could go and talk to your local professional body piercing about having the piercing redone deeper behind the migrating piercing.

Will your belly button piercing look bad if you let it heal and repierce it?

What are the dangers of piercing your belly button by yourself?

Is piercing your belly button easier after you have had it done perfesionaly and then taken it?

All piercing should be professionally done, re piercing anything in the same location will result in increased discomfort due to cutting through the old piercing tissue. When tissue is formed for a piercing it develops the same sensory receptors as normal skin. If the piercing is still opened and it's a case of the jewellery not going all the way through the piercing, see your local professional body piercer and have them use a taper to open the piercing to the right size.

When can you take belly button piercings out?

Navel piercing that are a year old are considered "seasoned" and can go without jewellery for any where from a day to several days. Removing the jewellery from an "unseasoned" piercing can lead to loss of the piercing and undue trauma to the newly forming tissue that makes up the piercing.
