White smoke is a good indication you have a blown head gasket. And/or a cracked head. Did you noticed, when it happened that the engine started running rough? Best i can do with little info.
It sounds like your VSS(Vehicle Speed Sensor) has gone bad, which will turn on your check engine light.
There's alot of ways you can test your vehicle for head gasket ,but the best way would be a cylinder leakage test, because once you see bubbles going into your coolant reservoir/over flow tank confirms this issue .This is a DIY job
Take it to Auto Zone and have the codes checked and cleared, for free.
Hey Mona==Get it checked out before you ruin the engine. If the gauge is gound into the red there is a problem somewhere. If you ignore it you can ruin the engine which is megabucks. GoodluckJoe
Source light is light coming directly from a light source/emitter (i.e. a light bulb, the sun, stars, etc.). Reflected light is light coming indirectly from the light source/emitter. That could be reflected, refracted light, etc.
I would check the plug wires and the exhaust system.
If the check engine light is blinking , that indicates a cylinder misfire has been detected White smoke coming out of the exhaust ( especially when the engine is warmed up ) indicates that coolant is getting into an engine cylinder from a bad head gasket , a warped or cracked cylinder head
it could be the coil
Have it checked for codes. That should give you a starting point for diagnostics.
Wiring, vacuum line, exhaust restriction.
No, have it looked at by a professional.
A rattling heat shield typically should not trigger the check engine light, as it is more related to exhaust system noise than engine performance. However, if the rattling heat shield causes damage to other components or leads to a fault in the exhaust system, it might indirectly result in the engine light coming on. It's advisable to inspect the heat shield and any related issues to prevent further complications.
the check engine light means you have something wrong with your emissions. theres something wrong with how your car lets out exhaust. There are sensers on your exhaust pipe that sense how much exhaust is being let out and how much unburned fuel is coming out. There is a computer in your car that senses that and try's to fix it. one of your sensers might be bad or you might have a clogged catalatic converter.
95 s10 blazer has a miss and check engine light does not come on and exhaust smells gassy what could it be
Propably needs a tune up. Plugs & wires. This vehicle is 11 years old.
It could.
