I got an industrial about 3 months ago. It was sore afterwards, I didn't want to touch it... but it wasn't THAT painful. It took about 3 weeks to heal, so i suggest that if it is still hurting and very painful still, go back to your piercer and ask them whats up. You can always call them before that to ask any questions, piercers are there to help. An Industrial is going to hurt quite a bit after its pierced, it will throb and ache for quite some time, but if its reducing you to tears that can indicate that perhaps it was incorrectly placed or infection. Either ring up your Piercer, or get a doctor to have a look at it.

You got your industrial piercing done 3 weeks ago should it still be hurting?

No your industrial shouldn't be hurting unless you bang it or snag it in the course of doing something else. I don't know where you got the piercing done or what you are using for cleaning it and how often. So I will point you to the related links and see if you can find the answer yourself.

Does an industrial piercing affect certain pressure points?

No. The pressure point in that area is actually pretty far behind your ear, so having an industrial will not affect it.

Is okay for there to be a bump under the skin right after you get a industrial piercing?

No. This is due to theprocedure of the piercing, needles can hang up once they pierce the cartilage and in doing so they can pull the pericondrial layer away from the cartilage thus leaving a lump. If the piercer spots this they can apply pressure to the tissue, this allows the pericondrial layer to reattach to the cartilage. New industrial piercings should if at all possible, not be moved for a few hours post piercing to allow the exit points to settle and reattach to the cartilage. Once a lump has formed at an exit point it's hard to get it to reattach to the cartilage if it's left too long.

What form of piercing has no exit holes?

Dermal anchors only have one entry point into the tissue. So for all intents this would be considered a piercing that doesn't have exit holes. Technically to be considered a piercing it should have an entry and an exit point, dermal anchors are actually not piercings but more body modifications considering there "implantation" into the tissue.

How can you tell if your navel piercing is starting to scar?

If your jewellery is starting to look too long for the piercing the piercing is migrating and will open up at some point and drop the jewellery out.

How do you know if your navel piercing is too shallow?

If your jewellery is starting to look too long then your piercing is shallow and starting to migrate and will at some point in time fall out of the piercing.

Does a smiley piercing hurt?

All piercings hurt to some point, but in the hands of a professional body piercer the piercing is simple and next to painless.

How long does it take for a industrial piercing to heal to the point that you can change it?

Industrials can be tricky to heal. You can go to your piercer to change it once the swelling goes down. YOu can change it yourself after 2-3 months. Industrials can take a very long time to heal completely.

Is a lot of redness normal after having your belly button pierced for a week?

Redness around the top exit point of the piercing is not uncommon, this area is more subject to irritation from sleeping, clothing and the day to day encounters surface tissue would be subjected to. Now if the tissue is swollen or distended and the redness is not localized to the close area of the piercing exit point and extends further than the piercing, chances are good you are reacting to the aftercare solution or cleaner you have been provided. It would be a good idea to go back and see your piercer and let he/she have a look at the piercing to ensure it's healing properly (there should be no charge for this service from the studio that did the piercing).
