When I installed an after market stereo, I started my truck (03 Frontier, V6) with the connections to the center console DISCONNECTED. My airbag light came on. I later read not to cycle the ignition switch while the cig lighter, hazard button, pass airbag switch is disconnected. I can only hope/ assume the airbags will deploy if the time comes?
