What could be going wrong if i have 1992 dodge stealth es that seems to be staying in second gear from when you start out and it wont shift?

Your transmission is locked in limp mode. You need to take it to a qualified mechanic to performance diagnostics on the ECU to determine the failure code. When my 91 Stealth ES did that, it was a combination of a shorted plug wire, and ignition coil. Once repaired the ECU needs to be reset.

If the 93 Stealth came with a crank sensor but it does not have one now, then it will not start. The sensor shows the ignition coil when to send power to the spark plugs.
