No way we can tell from here. If the engine cranks, it is not the battery. The battery can be good and the engine not crank due to other problems. Sorry, but we really cannot diagnose by remote control.
YES always disconnect the negative cable from the battery first then just be careful to hook up the negative cable to the battery as the last step
Timing is 0 degrees. To do this you must disconnect the single wire connector near this distributor. It is a TAN with a BLACK stripe. Start Engine, the check engine light will be on this is OK you will clear it in the next step. Set TIMING to 0 degrees. Then turn off ignition and disconnect the battery for 1 minute this will clear the check engine light. Reconnect the TAN with Black Stripe wire connector. now reconnect the battery. Start your engine. That's it your done.
Follow the large wire from the battery. On the right side of the engine, underneath attached to the bell housing. If the engine is a 302 PLEASE DISCONNECT THE BATTERY before working on the starter as the big cable is live as it is connected directly to the battery.
the battery is a part of the vehicle as is the engine.
if it wont crank the the starter is probally out but if it cranks and the motor doesnt turn either the belt is to loose or the engine is locked up
If the battery turns the engine over as it should then the battery is good.
You have to disconnect the negative battery for 5 min then unhook the positive then re hook the battery this should take care of the pesky engine light if it doesnt then u have to get the code
Sounds like you might have a bad starter relay.
Never disconnect a battery while an engine is running!
disconnect battery for one mi.
No, you do not have to disconnect the battery. Just do not start the engine with the charger connected unless the charger is built for starting purposes.
No.
disconnect cables from battery. follow pos. cable to starter and disconnect. follow neg. cable to end disconnect bolt mounted to engine. good luck. hamsandwich
Disconnect the negative battery cable for about a minute Disconnect the negative battery cable for a minute or so
You may have a fuel problem, check the fuel filter and fuel pump.
disconnect battery, disconnect the starter, disconnect the starter mount bracket from the engine and you can access the egr valve no need to lower the engine good luck
