nothing, if you press it for a long period of time you may loose blodd circulation
The Radial Artery
The navel is one of the many erogenous zones that has heightened sensitivity. Meaning, if you were to, oh lets say 'STICK A PIN IN THERE.' I am sure you should get medical attention as soon as possible. Umbilical vein and Umbilical artery. You have a artery there. The navel is just a scar. If you puncture it, you puncture that artery and bleed internally. Have fun with that. Yup yup.
carotid artery
They do not cut your femoral artery for a cardiac catheterization. They use a needle to puncture it, pass an introducer and then guidewires, etc, into the arterial circulation. The point of entry is in the femoral artery, usually just distal to the inguinal ligament in your groin.
Brachial artery
Its almost right next to your femoral artery. You puncture that and you die quickly and painlessly in three minutes.
The Pulse
the pulmonary artery
When drawing blood from an artery, there are two indicators that the artery has been punctured. When using a butterfly, the flash of blood that appears in the tubing will be pulsing. Also, arterial punctures produce very bright red blood.
You have a heart attack.
