First step is to take everything out of it, including the carpeting, and looking for holes or missing plugs along the bottoms and sides. Also check and make sure that your tail lights are mounted tightly and correctly. Lastly check your weather stripping and replace if needed.

Why does substantial water not coolant leak into my 1993 Mercury Grand Marquis passenger side floorboards both front and rear and into trunk?

There are only two possibilities for the water leak in the 1993 Mercury Marquis. The car could have a leak allowing rain water in. Or, the drain for the ac could be stopped, and condensation is leaking into the car. The condensation is your most likely cause.

Does cold make objects get smaller?

Usually true, but there are many exceptions-- Water for example turns to ice which has a lower density (gets bigger). Water in fact is most dense at 40C. So from this temperature it gets "bigger" both ways. Rubber gets smaller when heated. This fact give rubber many of it's properties. A squealing fan belt in you car stops squealing when it gets warm because it shrinks.

Can liquids conduct thermal energy?

Yes, all of them do. The most common liquid that conducts thermal energy is, of course, water. We put water - with a little ethylene glycol (anti-freeze) - into the radiator of your car. When you start the car, the engine gets hot, because of the gasoline and air exploding in each cylinder. Water running through the cooling manifold picks up the heat and cools the engine. The water runs through the heater core of your car and some of the heat is transferred to the air blowing into your car. The water then goes back into the radiator, and the heat from the water is transferred to the air going through the radiator. The now-cooled water goes back through the engine.

Do 1992 Honda prelude have water leaking inside the car problems?

Depends on where the water is? back seat? trunk? floor board? mine has a leak from the driver door seal being weak, the trunk seal the same and the rear water channels for the sun roof need to be blown out again to stop the back seat leak when parked on a hill and it rains. so to be honest you have to find out where the water is, your best guess on how it gets in (ie light rain, heavy rain, car wash etc) before people can truly help you.
