A code 37 on a Jaguar XJ6 means either your EGR solenoid or EGR valve is bad. Most of the time the valve is simply stuck open and it is a very easy fix.

It means Security and you need the lock out code in order to get your radio to work or go to a dealership.

On a 1990 thru 1994 XJ6 it means the Idle Speed Control Valve (coil 2) has an open or short circuit

In 1990-1994 XJ6 the VCM Code 44 is the code for the O2 sensor, either rich or lean exhaust has been detected and is causing the code to trigger. It could indicate a bad O2 sensor.
