a 50/50 mix with a good antifreeze i.e. Prestone Zerex etc.
yes,it can be purchased from the dealership. It is purple in color and has a lifetime warranty so if you use something else i believe Toyota can void the vehicals warranty if you used anything but genuine Toyota coolant when it comes to any problems relating to the cooling system.
It came with dex-cool from the factory.
Yes. A really good TIG welder can do this. Ask around at radiator shops. JB Weld never works on this kind of stuff.
In 1975 no manufacturer was really recommending a particular coolant. So any good quality antifreeze will do as long as that is all that is in the system. Don't mix coolant types
i am currently having a over heating problem with my vw golf mk1 - my new thermo switch is not getting the fan to come on ( works when i short it at the switch connector) - probly a radiator block usually when a thermo switch is not functioning - i will not allow the fan to kick in it either works or it dosent
I have a 1992 Toyota Paseo and I use 5W-30 engine oil in it. Always have and that's what the owners manual recommends.
You can use universal coolant which you can find in any auto parts store, or you can use a coolant for Japanese card, or you can go and get coolant at a local Toyota dealer.
the red coolant. the pink coolant is used for newer model.
134a
You have to go to Toyota and get the coolant that Toyota makes for their vehicles, DO NOT add GM Dexcool antifreeze, it is not the same.
what type of radiator fluid does a 2000 ford ranger take?
the Toyota kind! just kidding! trans fluid is just hydralic fluid. dexron 3 will work fine.
Freon but you can convert over to the new stuff
For what it cost to replace the radiator and/or repair the engine, I would stick with the stealership original Anti-Freeze coolant. Better be safe than sorry...
Toyota red only. If you mix with green it will gell up and plug your cooling system. Well I think Prestone make a coolant that will work, just read the label and make sure.
when oils of any kind are under pressure or/and mixed with water based coolant,it becomes an emulsion..the cause probably the cooling line from trans. to radiator or oil cooling fins has rupturred or split sucking and mixing both fluids together..Fix...trace line from trans. to cooling area mentioned and you'll probably have to remove radiator or oil cooler to do this..costly if u bring to a shop tho...
It would have been built with R12, can be converted to R134a.
