Martin Luther King, Jr. refused to give up his bus seat to a white people. Because of this the Montgomery Bus Boycott began and lasted for 385 days. Martin did not involve violence. He was against laws that where seriously harmful to the African-American community. Martin was responsible for his actions and was willing to face punishment for his beliefs.
