Cujo (1983) is a Horror film directed by Lewis Teague about a suburban family who is terrorized by their neighbor's rabid dog named Cujo. The film is based off of a novel by Stephen King with the same title. Cujo contract rabies when bitten by a bat, and at first begins to isolate himself. Over time however, Cujo's behavior worsens as the rabies drive him deeper into madness. The family consists of the housewife Donna, her husband Vic, and her son Tad. Throughout the film Donna and Vic experience marital problems. Cujo's aggressive behavior parallels the turmoil of the marriage with both problems becoming a threat to the family. Ultimately, Vic leaves for a few days, and it is during this time that Cujo's madness reaches a peak and he attacks Donna and her son Tad when they become trapped in their broken down car.
