Obviously, sugar was one of the things taxed in the sugar act. But other things such as molasses, select wines, cloth, and some coffee were taxed because they did not come from the colonies.
the sugar act came first
it is where the colonists go against a taxed product. Boycotts occurred in different years, about taxes on different products because the British continually added new taxes on different items. One colonial boycott was in 1765, when the British proposed taxes on many products. Another boycott was the Townsend Act in 1767. And another was The Boston Tea Party.
During the Stamp act, the colonists had to pay for a special paper and during the Sugar act they had to pay for the sugar. But during the Townshend act, the colonists had to pay for tea, paint, silk, glass, ink, and lead. Eventually this act was repealed, all but the tea tax which led to the Boston Tea Party.
some men act really violent while others act cool and try to ignore the situation (they keep them selves busy)
Colonists were sick and tired of paying taxes, especially on tea. So patriots dressed up as Indians and dumped about 340 chests off the ship and into the ocean.
