There is a sort somewhere in the starting system
Bad ignition coil? Bad fuel pump?
The cylinder should not be worn out on a 99 car unless you were using a very heavy key chain. I would just replace the ignition switch if the cylinder works OK. You also might try some Graphite lube on the cylinder.
it is a fuse that protects the ignition relay from too much current. a bad fuse would cause a no start, and if you pull the fuse, its center core will be burnt out if it is bad.
Check to see if you are getting fuel.
Your ignition key may be too worn down, the car dealership can probably make you a new one. Another cause may be worn lock cylinder parts (springs, etc.) or there could be dirt/sand in the cylinder.
What do you mean? When does this happen. I have a Malibu '02 and the horn will blow if one of my electric lock buttons are stuck up or down. This will cause it to honk if I put the car in park.
Noises are impossible to correctly diagnoise unless heard. Take it to a garage.
i would like to know what would cause the miss firing in Chevy Malibu
That would depend on the year and engine size. If you do not see a distributor then it is distributorless ignition.
It sounds as if you have a problem with the ignition switch.
Ignition switches and body control modules are issues on these cars.
frozen pulley
Ignition is required for an engine to work. Failure of ignition would prevent the engine working.
I would check the ignition timing and set it to the desired specifications. Next I would clean the throttle plate.
The coldness
YES
You may have a short in the ignition system.
