If it is a cable driven system, usually a jerky needle is caused by a dry cable, either replace or lube the cable as it is getting stuck and stopping for a second then getting unstuck and jumping back to current speed. If it is an electronic speedo then it could be a loose connection under the car, usually they tie into the transmission to get speed input. Or could be as worse as a faulty speedo in the dash.
sounds like a broken speedometer cable.
If the speedometer and odometer are both not working, I would blame the speed sensor. If only the speedometer does not work and the odometer does work, the cluster is bad.
The odometer on a 96 Ford Explorer is tied into the speedometer. If the speedometer is working then there is a gear problem inside of the speedometer causing the odometer to not work.
If both the speedometer and the odometer work on and off, I would blame the vehicle speed sensor. If only the speedometer is acting up, I would blame the cluster.
I believe the fuse that protects the speedometer also protects all the gauges in the dash cluster, so if that fuse was burned out all the gauges would be dead. If only the speedometer is not working I would suspect the speed sensor in the transmission to at fault, if the wiring checks okay.
why would a speedometer and odometer not work on a suzuki motorcycle?
Check first the speed sensor or speedometer cable which ever one it has (i dont know the age of the vehicle). Both attach to the transmission at the same place.
you can go to speedometer and out of speedometer
They would be shorter and that would affect speedometer accuracy. They would be shorter and that would affect speedometer accuracy.
The speedometer was going very high up.
the best place would be to me game crazy or if o azz is cheap the pawn shop
Check the speedometer cable and gear at transmission end for looseness and/or wear
Nobody can write your story for you! You must think of things that have an emotional impact for you. What things would you consider crazy if someone did them? How do crazy people talk? What things would a crazy person do? Why is this person crazy? What made him crazy in the first place? Why does he go into this room? Even crazy people have reasons. What kind of crazy? Just general weirdness and being off-the-wall, or a genuine mental disorder? If a mental disorder, what is it? How would it affect them? If general weirdness, is it deliberate? How do they react in certain circumstances? How does stress take them?
Accurate or precise are one and the same to which the automotive speedometer would never be.
Mine is located next to the speedometer needle when it is pointed at zero. Little knob that looks the same as the trip meter reset. I have the EX trim package but would suspect all levels would be located the same place.
If the speedometer is not working but the odometer is, I would suspect the dash cluster is at fault. If both speedometer and odometer are not working I would suspect the speed sensor on the transmission is at fault.
If the speedometer and the odometer are not working, I would suspect the VSS (vehicle speed sensor). If only the speedometer is not working I would suspect the instrument cluster has problems.
