After you drain all of the old oil (remove the oil plug in the pan and replace the oil filter) all you have to do is remove the oil cap and pour the oil in there (although, make sure you've screwed the oil plug back in the oil pan). The car will probably need about 4 quarts (one gallon) of oil in it. Then check the dipstick to see if it's full or not. The fuel pump on a 2005 Kia Optima is removed by the fuel tank, disconnecting the fuel lines, and pulling the wiring harness. The pump can then be unscrewed from the tank, lifted out, and a new pump put in place.
if you put on oil remover on it and it comes off
Yes. The oil drips into the crankcase via the oil filler location.
No you do not, you would put oil on a oil filter gasket if it is a spin on type, this stops the rubber from binding and helps it seal.

buy new ones and put those in instead

The exact amount of Freon that needs to be added to a Kia Optima is unknown. This is because if Freon is needed there may be a leak and the car will need to be taken to a mechanic.

Depends how good you take care of it.....modern vehicles have surpassed 200k miles....But it all depends on how you drive them.....if you keep up on your maintenance, they should last a long time. The Kia Optima is great. Not as small as the Rio ;) But it has more features than the Spectra. Their "sportier" performance line ;)Just waiting for a Kia 2-door coupe :)
The fuel tank vent or the filler tube is blocked.
