Just changed mine on v-6 3400 engine..the starter is on the passenger side of the engine. It's not an easy replacement but maybe I can save you some time. If your tacoma has skid plates, you will have to remove them for this procedure. Disconnect the battery before beginning and the the wiring harness from the starter. You will find it tucked up behind a holding bracket for the exhuast system. I removed the bracket to get at the 2 14mm bolts holding the starter in place. After the bolts are removed, go to the front of the truck and remove the bolt and bracket holding the starter harness to the block. This will give you enough room to extract the starter over the cross member, through the Power Steering lines and out. The new starter is just the reverse order. This seemed the easiest route after studying brake line removal to exit through the wheel-well, and it came out easy! Hopefully this helps, I know I wasted about 1/2 hr before removing the wiring harness bracket trying other possibilities. Good luck!
Check the connections to the solenoid and to the starter.
Here is a web site that I saw that will help you on removing and replacing the starter on a 1999 Toyota 4Runner: http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/Starter.shtml
The 1995 Nissan truck starter relay switch is located in the fuse box. The starter relay switch will be in the third column.
buy a belt, loosen the tensioner, replace belt
I have a 1994 Polaris 4x4 with a battery that is about 9 months old and it won't start. I can hear the cylinoid clicking which is next to the battery. I have tried to jump the battery, but have no change in the results. The lights seem nice and bright so I don't think the battery is dead. I am leaning towards a starter problem, is this correct?
They both do.

To remove the starter from a 1996 Polaris Explorer 300 4x4 ATV, first ensure the ignition is off and disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical issues. Remove the starter cover and disconnect the electrical connections from the starter. Then, unbolt the starter from its mounting brackets, making sure to keep track of the hardware. Finally, carefully pull the starter out from its housing.
No.
