Carl Madden is (was?) an artist who did mostly landscapes of forests, rivers and mountains. He has done many scenes similar to the forest and farmland areas around Kitchner/Waterloo, Ontario, Canada where I purchased an original oil forest scene signed by him about 25 years ago at an art fair in that area. I still have the painting. He was popular there at that time. You might find more information about him from dealers in that area or even in Toronto, about 70 miles away from there. I'd like to know more about him myself. His work is very distinctive and recognizable. I'm not an art expert, but I'd describe his style as contemporary impressionistic. Mike Burns, San Clemente, CA
