It may seem that way but all vehicles burn out headlamps and other bulbs all the time. Whoever does the safety checks during an oil change isn't doing their job very well.
this is my question and I was wondering because the day lights and high beams work but as soon as the low beams are switched on the daylights shut off. this is my dad's van, trying to help him fix the problem.

Open the hood and then examine the top of the headlight assembly and locate the two pins that can be pulled up and out of the assembly. Then rotate the headlight Assembly out of the front of the grille and change the headlight bulb...reverse the process
Remove the wiring harness from the back of your headlight assembly. Remove the headlight assembly retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new headlight assembly.
it is located on passengers side just below the headlight. to remove headlight assembly. just pull up on the 2 plastic slide pins on top of headlight assembly. good-day !
