Have you tried having the wheels balanced ?
If the check engine light is or has illuminated, check for codes. The codes may help lead you to the problem.
Your alternator will stop working, your motor will heat up and you will need to call AAA asap. What makes it even worse is that on significant number of cars the belt is also driving the power steering, so it will suddenly become very hard to turn the wheel. On high way speeds it results in a very dangerous situation.
egr valve used to reduce emmisions. the valve will open at driving speeds to reburn exaust gases. when one fails it will usually be in the open position thus the engine will run rough at Idell.
It is possible that the wear indicators for the brake pads are touching the rotor, indicating worn brake pads. They probably make the noise all the time, but at higher speeds, the pitch changes, and there is more road noise, so the problem is less noticeable. Depending on how much you drive, and traffic situations, etc, the noise should get a lot more more noticeable within the next couple of days. You will then have to replace the brake pads, ASAP. If not, the pads will tear up the rotors, and then they too will have to be replaced.
Us too, I drove the truck on ramps, got under it and found an exhaust clamp was loose. the bolt securing it rusted out, removed it, used a 2 1/4 metal clamp, 3 minute fix.. but if one is loose odds are there might be another, i can hear another rattle one somewhere but from a different location.. the baffle over my cat was like that 2 years ago so was my neighbours (2005), removed it, no more noise. this truck seems notorious for these kinds of rattles, most noticeable when driving at low speeds or idle. 8 years old reliable fuel efficient driving service, at 145k its running strong. I love this truck.
If a car is sputtering at low speeds when driving one thing it could be is a clogged fuel filter. Another possibility is the catalytic converter could need replaced.
They "reset" while driving at highway speeds. They "reset" while driving at highway speeds.
drive shaft carrier bearing needs to be replaced
You need to get your control arms/bushings replaced. It sways at speeds on or above 60mph. I just had it done to my 97 pathfinder. It is a problem that they have. boo :(
Driving with the windows down and AC off at lower speeds is more fuel efficient. At higher speeds(45+), having the windows down will create more drag and it is more efficient to have the windows up with the AC on.
He speeds up , drives faster
That will depend on how fast you are driving. About 1 hr 45 minutes at highway speeds.
Not use their high beams and drive dramatically lower speeds.
Driving at speeds that exceed the legal speed limit always endangers children in the car. A pattern of driving at such speeds would likely be classified as child endangerment if it could be proved by such evidence as traffic violations.
you need a new rheostat !
City driving is ; driving at slower speeds, stopping at various stop lights, sitting at stop lights. City driving (as opposed to highway driving) is considered harder on the car, it wears out faster. A car usually has two different fuel efficiancy ratings (mileage) - since city driving takes more energy, the mileage for 'city driving' is lower than for 'higway driving', where the car travels for longer distances without having to constantly stop and go.
