Mix a little of the three primary colours together, yellow red and blue. it won't be exactly black but it will be dark.

NO blacks and whites could not mix easily at all especially around the 1950's and 60's. they weren't given the same opportunities as them. (like jobs, education, colleg etc) being a black was hard, especcially being humiliated often because of it. So if blacks and whites did mix it wasen't easily and probably not wanted by both colours.
