How do you change rear turning lights in 1989 Cadillac Brougham?

u have to take off the bumper to get to one mor screw ther should be only 4 screws one the top part of your bumper and 3-5 on the bottom

This is for the 95-97 Contour. 98+ are different, because the light housing changed completely.

1. Open the hood.

2. In each front corner of the hood, there is a torx bolt, head about the size of a nickel. Removing this one bolt allows you to remove the corner marker/turn signal housing.

3. Once the housing is free, you have access to the back of the bulb holder. If I recall correctly, it's a half-twist to remove, but I'm not sure. Could just be barbed clips, or something. Anyway, from here should be no problem to figure out how to remove and replace the bulb.

4. Replace corner marker/turn signal housing, and re-install torx bolt. That's it!

Look inside the trunk and remove the (3) wing nuts that hold a large metal panel covering where the wires go to the back of the bulb socket, which should twist out. On the other end, open the hood and you should be able to see and/or reach the back of the light assembly where the wire goes in to the back of the bulb socket, then twist it out.

Depends on the year of the car. But basically there will likely be some plastic paneling in the trunk that can be removed by releasing the tabs on it. (don't lose them!) Pull back the platic paneling, and find the bulb you need to replace. The bulb closest to the outside of the car is usually the running/signal bulb. And the one closer to the inside of the car is the brake light. To remove the socket, twist it and pull out. If it doesn't twist easily, try the other direction. Also, there is likely a spring in the socket that prevents the bulb from popping out. You need to release it to get the bulbs out. Best of luck.

Take off the outer chrome trim ring...remove the upper and lower bolts holding the lamp assembly in place .pull the lamp assy forward to access the sockets in the rear.. twist the socket counterclock wise to remove and access the bulb...reinstall in reverse order..
