the state of Michigan does not require a license. however many counties and citys do. in order to be verified as a tattooist in the state of Michigan you must first contact you local county clerks office to see what rules apply in getting a license. next you must have a bloodbourne pathogens certificate that applys to the knowledge of blood clean up and sterilization. in order to do so you may need to contact your local health department to aquire this certificate. an anual license is around $250 for the first year and $200 each year after. if you have any questions contact me at mikehoule86@Yahoo.com

Professional licensure requirements vary by location. In Virginia, for example, you must take a 750 hour tattoo school class or 1500 apprenticeship, take and pass the dpor test and take med classes like cpr, first aid and bbp. But in general, the health department needs to inspect the area(s) that you will be tattooing at, and confirm that it is a sterile environment. they also check your sanitation process to make sure that everything is being cleaned correctly.
go to school then ask the tooth fairy to give you one, if she says ne then you go to the northpole and ask santa for one and if he says no, then wait until winter to ask jack frost to give you one, and if he says no, then you have to go to china and ask Jackie Chan for one and if he says no, then you go home and cry like a baby to your "mama" but heres the catch, in order to do all of that, you have to have a tattoo liscense. so, go try it, it works!!!!
