Well I have taken mine off a (97 VDP). there are 2 parts as I recall. You have to start at the top...remove the trim around the door latch be very careful taking
the wood panel, it slides. Once top one's off, start removing the bolts off the second one and then....very slowly ply and lift off...and for Gods sake take your time! Just a note if you look around the websites you should be able to get free or very cheap 20.00, a parts and service manual on DVD, Good luck,Jagcat

on my 2000 s-type, the drivers door panel is held on by 2 screws located in the interior door pull under the small rubber mat. remove those screws and pry the panel off. pry the panel off from each snap on position, being careful not to damage the snap mounts.

Take inner door panel off and look inside the door and you will probably find a rod off the outside door handle.
you have to take door panel off and ajust the arm that leads from the handel to the latch u need a 7mm and 8mm wrench
look for some screws and take them out then the door should be preety easy to take off with your bare hands
